Cambridge, UK – 27 October 2025 – CRFS, a global leader in RF technology, successfully demonstrated its spectrum monitoring and geolocation capabilities at the REPMUS 2025 experimentation exercise held in Portugal this September.
In collaboration with SCHIEBEL, CRFS integrated its lightweight RFeye Node into the CAMCOPTER® S-100 Unmanned Air System (UAS). The RFeye Node detected RF signals in real-time and streamed geolocation data directly into Thales’ TACTICOS Combat Management System (CMS) for ISR and SIGINT capabilities. The exercise validated CRFS’ ability to integrate hardware and software to deliver accurate maritime domain awareness during complex naval operations.
The goal of REPMUS 2025 was to advance NATO’s maritime innovation and operational readiness by integrating unmanned assets into realistic, multi-domain naval operations. SCHIEBEL’s CAMCOPTER® S-100 was chosen to participate in the experiment, and CRFS was tasked to integrate a modular SIGINT payload onto this platform to detect signals of interest, geolocate them, and stream this data into Thales’ TACTICOS CMS.
Each system component functioned successfully, confirming the interoperability and mission readiness of the combined solution. CRFS enabled real-time display of SIGINT-derived geolocation data in CMS software used by participating NATO navies.
“Integrating the RFeye Node LW into SCHIEBEL’s CAMCOPTER® S-100 unlocks many applications, from anti-submarine warfare to protecting undersea cables to ISR,” said Pio Szyjanowicz, COO of CRFS. “This partnership is not just about what’s possible; it’s a direct response to NATO’s drive for maritime innovation and interoperability, including alignment with the emerging STANAG 4817 protocol.”
CRFS specialises in developing technology to detect, identify, and geolocate signals in complex RF environments. Allied military forces, system integrators, and government security agencies worldwide trust the company’s TRL-9 systems. CRFS hardware and software products are designed to provide actionable spectrum intelligence across a wide frequency range, essential for successful Electronic Warfare Support and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operation missions.
