RFeye Detect
Monitor spectrum across wide areas, detect and geolocate interference and unauthorized transmissions
EnquireRFeye Detect is an integrated, highly configurable Spectrum Intelligence System for wide area monitoring and surveillance, intelligence gathering and interference management, up to 18GHz. It is designed to support spectrum operations on any site, perimeter or border, where continuous monitoring of the RF environment and detection of anomalies can aid security and/or improve efficiency of spectrum usage. These may include critical infrastructure sites, national borders, maritime harbours, coastlines, large naval vessels, airports, city centres, large stadia, military bases, training and proving grounds, or military theaters.
Benefits include better planning, usage and policing of scarce spectrum resources and resolution of spectrum conflicts and interference. In addition, RFeye Detect can be used to rapidly identify and geolocate transmission sources over large areas, including detection and alerting of rogue events, such as illegal border crossings or smuggling activities, GPS jamming or unauthorized entry to sensitive sites.
Multi-User, Multi-Mission
State-of-the-art RFeye Site software enables large networks of RFeye nodes to be configured, controlled and directly queried remotely from a desktop or laptop computer. Individual nodes or all nodes in the network can be assigned tasks ranging from requests for basic spectrum sweeps and occupancy measurements, to the detection and alerting of spectrum events, to the signal classification and real-time geolocation of sources of interest.
For example multiple separate TDOA geolocation results can be requested by, and provided to separate system users for distinct targets. Such requests can by handled and shared by any combination of nodes and local sub-groups in the network, or by the entire network as necessary. In the example below, RFeye Site software is displaying real time TDOA geolocation results on two transmission sources with very different signal characteristics. The RFeye Detect system returns the calculated locations as a probability heat map overlay:
RFeye nodes in the RFeye Detect system are communicating with eachother and with the RFeye Site software using a highly efficient protocol running over standard TCP/IP connections. The system is tolerant to limited network resources and is able to optimize performance according to the available connection bit rate. Multiple users can simultaneously make multiple requests of the nodes at different priority levels. This unique “multi-user, multi-mission” capability makes the maximum use of the assets and is the key to cost effective deployment of large RFeye networks.
