CRFS announces new VPX Spectrum/Signal Analyser Module

Cambridge, England, 1 June 2010 – CRFS, the developer and manufacturer of innovative real-time spectral monitoring and signal analysis systems, has released a new VPX Spectrum/Signal Analyser Module based on its established RFeye spectrum monitoring node.

The new product allows the capabilities of the well established RFeye system to be leveraged into VPX (VITA 46) systems for embedded applications in the Mil/Aerospace sector. The VPX module is a fully integrated spectrum/signal monitoring solution including an optional on-board Linux processor for local management of sweeps and signal processing, reducing the workload on the VPX system processor.

Flexible backplane interfacing facilitates easy integration into established systems and provides support for customer-specific interfaces. Housed in a rugged, lightweight conduction cooled 3U VPX module format, the module features high RF performance including a wide frequency range (10 MHz to 6 GHz), fast switching and low power consumption.
