In-place monitoring systems

In-Place Monitoring (IPM) systems provide effective detection and geolocation of potential security threats in or around sensitive buildings, installations and public venues

IPM systems are designed for use in critical installations such as government buildings, embassies, prisons, or public venues such as sports arenas or airports. They have a key role to play in both homeland security and public safety.

The RFeye is the ideal receiver for use in IPM systems. By detecting the location and signal characteristics of suspicious transmitters, or detecting unusual patterns of radio transmissions, RFeye can help identify potential breaches of security or provide intelligence to mitigate specific risks. The system can be programmed to autonomously collect data and trigger alarms if specific signals are detected in a local area or if background masks are broken. It provides the operator with the necessary information to make critical security decisions in often difficult, spectrum dense environments.

RFeye nodes can be networked in-building or outdoors on secure mast mounts. The nodes are low power and fully IP rated and can run off multiple power sources including mains, battery, solar cells, PoE etc. Nodes can communicate over Ethernet in-building or wirelessly over larger distances via cellular or satellite communication channels. Dense RFeye networks can be deployed to provide full coverage over even very large sites and installations. The RFeye supports advanced direction finding techniques, including AOA, TDOA and POA (and overlay of these techniques) for high probability geolocation of suspicious or unauthorised transmitters.
